Pachyderm Pace Race for the Palmer Home for Children and the Tupelo Children’s Mansion

WHO:  The biggest stars from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents Fully Chargedsm, Gold Edition, the majestic Asia elephants, the children of Palmer Home for Children and Tupelo Children’s Mansion.

WHAT:  Two Asian elephants from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey will represent each charity organization in a Pachyderm Pace Race for tickets to the Greatest Show On Earth®.

WHEN:  Wednesday, April 10

4:45 pm:           Elephants will cross Main Street in front of the Hilton Garden Inn.

The contestants will dress and receive last minute strategic coaching.

5:00 pm:           Pace Race begins.

 

WHERE:  Grassy Lot across from the BancorpSouth Arena south of East Troy Street near the intersection of Monaghan and Troy.

HOW:  Children from the Palmer Home for Children and Tupelo Children’s Mansion will cheer on their preferred pachyderm in a foot race to win the grand prize of 100 tickets to the Opening Night performance of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents Fully Charged, Gold Edition, Thursday, April 11, 7pm.

The public is encouraged to attend to learn more about each of these amazing organizations and cheer on the elephant of their choice. The animal trainers will be on site to talk about the care and training of the elephants and to present both groups with a special winning prize.

Media is also invited to capture the smiles and laughter of the people of Tupelo as they root for their favored pachyderm. A representative from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey and each of the organizations will be available for interviews.
