Our Mission and Vision

Tupelo Children’s Mansion is located in Tupelo, Mississippi, and is a residential care facility for children in challenging circumstances. We welcome children of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities. TCM endeavors to provide a home and family-oriented environment for children experiencing crises or other difficult circumstances. We aim to meet not only the physical needs of the children in our care but also to provide for their emotional, mental, and spiritual welfare. We strive to improve the lives of children through a nurturing and healing environment that focuses on each individual child’s needs and well-being.

Mission:

To provide a safe and nurturing environment where children needing care can heal and thrive while discovering the love of Jesus Christ.

Vision:

To be a leader in residential care by exemplifying excellent and glorifying Christ.

TCM is a highly regarded nonprofit organization committed to living our vision of being a leader in residential care by exemplifying excellence and glorifying Christ. Our operational funds come from various sources, including individuals, businesses, churches, and national fundraising efforts. TCM provides a home, whether temporary or long-term, in a
family-type setting under the care and supervision of qualified caregivers we call houseparents. Children at TCM may lack other family resources as a result of parental death, abandonment, homelessness, or other family crises.

Currently, TCM cares for an average of 85 children at any given time while serving approximately 125 children annually. Children living at TCM, as well as the children of staff members, attend Tupelo Children’s Mansion Academy (TCMA), our on-campus school that provides education to Pre-K through 12th grade students. In addition to having individualized plans for children with special needs, TCMA offers advanced curriculum and dual-credit courses for students planning to attend higher education.

Permanency planning is a high priority at TCM, with every effort being made to reunite children with their families whenever possible. For situations where reunification isn’t feasible, TCM seeks to find loving adoptive families for these children. If adoption isn’t an option, TCM provides training to prepare children for their future and independent living. No matter their circumstances, our goal is always to do whatever is in the best interest of the child and promotes their safety and well-being.
