Spiritual Nourishment in Our Care

As an organization founded on the principles of pure religion, Tupelo Children’s Mansion’s Christ-centered atmosphere focuses on the teachings and principles of Jesus Christ, and these are at the forefront of our mission and daily operations. Recognized by the United Pentecostal Church International and the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ, TCM incorporates Pentecostal beliefs and practices while also endeavoring to be respectful of the diverse heritages, cultures, and perspectives of the children in our care. Our Christ-centered approach emphasizes:

• Spiritual Foundation: TCM is built upon a strong spiritual foundation that is rooted in the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. We believe that nurturing the spiritual well-being of children is essential to their holistic development and growth.
• Christian-Based Values: At TCM, we uphold and promote Christian-based values such as love, compassion, forgiveness, and grace. These values guide our interactions with children, families, and staff in order to foster a culture of kindness, empathy, and understanding.
• Prayer and Worship: Prayer and worship are important parts of daily life at TCM. They are meant to help children deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and experience His love and presence in their lives. Our staff and student volunteers lead weekly chapel and worship services for the children in our on-campus chapel.
• Biblical Teachings: We integrate biblical teachings and principles into the various programs and activities at TCM. Children are encouraged to explore the Scriptures, learn about the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and apply biblical truths to their lives. Houseparents and children engage in daily devotionals in their homes. At school, children are taught using Abeka, a curriculum that is built on Christian values and incorporates biblical perspectives, and they also attend a daily Bible class.
• Community of Faith: TCM is a supportive Christ-centered community of faith where children feel valued, loved, and accepted. We surround them with caring adults who serve as positive role models and mentors, exemplifying the values of Christ through their words and actions.
• Redemptive Perspective: At TCM, we view each child from a redemptive perspective, recognizing their inherent worth and potential for transformation. Through the grace of Christ, we believe that every child has the opportunity for healing, restoration, and a future of hope.
• Family-Like Environment: Our homes provide a family-like environment where children experience love, security, and a sense of belonging. We encourage and care for each other, celebrate milestones and achievements, and support one another through difficulties and challenges.
